Westland launched its Farming excellence Programme (FarmEx) in 2014 to help farmers create efficient and sustainable practices and ensure their long-term success.
The assessments carried out by Westland’s Supplier Services team give us confidence that our milk suppliers aren’t just meeting minimum government regulations and industry standards – they are exceeding them and striving for new standards of farming excellence in the process.
Our Supplier Services team visits every one of our milk suppliers annually to specifically assess seven key areas – the primary areas of focus being animal welfare, environmental stewardship and the safety of the workers and visitors on those farms. As regulations and consumer expectations continue to evolve, we’ll evolve, too. The FarmEx assurance will be there to let you know that we’re supporting our farmers, their animals and the environment, and ensuring that every Westgold product you buy meets the highest standards at every stage of its life.
