Ingredients:

 

4 tbsp Westgold salted butter (softened)

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

250g cream cheese

250g Feta cheese

1 tsp lemon zest

1 cup Dried cranberries

2 clove Garlic

Roasted nuts (we used pecans and walnuts)

10 small Rosemary sprigs

Bunch of chives

Christmas ribbon

Method:

 

Mix together cream cheese, feta, cheddar and butter with a fork until smooth.

Fold in in lemon zest, garlic, ¼ cup of the cranberries and a small handful of chives.

 

Form into 15 mini cheese balls about 4cm in diameter. Play on a plate or tray in the shape of a Christmas tree.

Roll balls in remaining cranberries, nuts and seeds – mix them up in different colours and combine different toppings where desired.

 

Garnish with rosemary sprigs for branches and add a bow to the top the tree.

 

Serve with crackers or bread.

 

Tips for Perfect Cheese Balls:

Leave cream cheese and feta out of the fridge for about 30 minutes before making - it softens and blends better.

 

You can refrigerate the cheese balls if making in advance, but roll them in nuts just before serving to keep that crunch and avoid sogginess.
